Job summary

Fertis India seeks a senior agronomy specialist to lead crop nutrition programs, design and coordinate pan-India trials, and develop water soluble fertilizers and fertilizer grades tailored to farmer needs.

You will collaborate with ICAR, state universities and institutional clients to demonstrate bio-efficacy data, train staff, and drive new product launches while ensuring budget adherence and timely execution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plant nutrients and its role in crop growth and development.
• Technical know-how on specialty fertilizers in Indian market and capability to develop new fertilizer and customized fertilizers.
• Packages of practice and crop knowledge on rice, basmati rice, wheat, potato, sugarcane, apple, etc.
• Proficient in soil fertility mapping, diagnosis of nutrient deficiency and pest and diseases symptoms.
• Knowledge on smart agriculture, hydroponics and advanced technologies in agri technology.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate with Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and technical committee for approval of new grades.
• Design Trial Protocol and coordinate with field agronomists for conducting agronomy trials at R&D farm and farmers field
• Oversee new-version and new-product trials across the multi-states Field Agronomy team.
• Prepare document on product evaluation and make presentation to the management for business opportunities.
• Develop technical content and be part of resource person for Technical Training to Sales & Marketing team.
• Organizing Sponsored research studies with ICAR and State Agriculture Universities for generating bio-efficacy data.
• Monitor PoC Trials on Pre Launch products and training the farmers, staff and clients.
• Work with institutional clients for business imitation for pilot scale implementation of innovative solutions.
• Budget preparation and adhering budget.
• Timely execution of program, support the marketing to soft lunch of products.

Role Summary

Design crop solution program, conduct agronomic trials, strategic plan for institutional business and support, understand the market need and innovate the solution with speciality nutrition, biostimulants and new tech products for solving the farmers challenges. Develop Water soluble fertilizers and Fertilizer grades for based on the farmers need.

Make the company the first mover in agri tech products and its solution. Conduct agronomic program in pan India through internal and ICAR-University trials. Capture the global challenges and explore the opportunities. Participate in the Indian and international forum and present the technical papers and help in branding. Recruit the right team, guide, train and groom as good team leaders.
