Job summary

Kay Jay Forgings requires a maintenance engineer to uphold machine reliability and safety at our Ludhiana facility. The role covers maintaining critical spare stocks, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.

The incumbent will drive safety practices for machines and personnel, perform predictive maintenance using maintenance check sheets, and contribute VE ideas to reduce consumption of consumables, electricity, and raw

Responsibilities

• To maintain the minimum stock level of critical spares of machines as per Master List of Critical Spare.
• To take & implement corrective & preventive actions on major / repeated breakdowns to reduce the breakdown hrs./ MTTR & MTBF.
• To ensure the preventive maintenance of machines as per preventive maintenance schedule.
• To ensure the safety of the machine & personal by following the safety norms i.e. no loosing wire, proper covering of moving parts of machine, proper light arrangement on work places etc..
• To carry out the predictive maintenance of machines to eliminate the possible causes of machine breakdown through machine maintenance check sheet..
• To implement & maintain the documentation as per requirements of IATF 16949:2016.
• To give at least one suggestion in a month to optimize the use of consumables, electricity & raw material by doing VE (Value Engineering).
• To update the H.O.D. for the need of periodic over hauling of machines when required.
• To ensure the preventive maintenance of the Fire Alarm / Hooters & Hydrant systems and update the record.
