Job summary

Inchi Solutions seeks a Maintenance Engineer to lead and optimize the reliability of production equipment in Chennai. The role includes supervising a team, performing RCA/CAPA, and driving TPM initiatives while ensuring readiness and compliance with quality standards.

The incumbent will coordinate maintenance planning, document downtime and PM activities, and participate in new equipment trials and layout changes. Strong safety practice knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance for manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 audits and customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily review meetings and record MOM.
• Lead preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance for multiple machines and tables.
• Perform RCA and implement CAPA for recurring breakdowns.
• Monitor and improve MTTR and MTBF metrics.
• Ensure tool and jig maintenance, changeover readiness, and validation of testing devices.
• Coordinate with production for machine readiness and daily maintenance planning.
• Maintain detailed records of breakdowns, service reports, and PM checklists.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 during audits.
• Prepare reports on equipment downtime, PM compliance, and spare part usage.
• Support TPM and lean maintenance programs.
• Participate in new equipment trials, installation, commissioning, and layout modifications.
• Supervise junior engineers and technicians during maintenance jobs.
• Train team on troubleshooting methods, safety practices, and equipment handling.
• Ensure shift-wise handover with clear communication of machine status and pending actions.

Job description

1.Conduct the daily review meeting with internal team & record the discussion points in MOM

2.Lead preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance for Wire cutting/stripping machines, Crimping machines and applicators, EOL Test Table, Assembly Test Table, taping machines, ultrasonic welding & soldering equipment.

3.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring breakdowns.

Monitor and improve MTTR and MTBF metrics.

4.Ensure tool and jig maintenance, changeover readiness, and validation of Tool and testing devices.

5. Coordinate with production for machine readiness and daily maintenance planning.

6.Maintain detailed records of machine breakdowns, service reports, and PM checklist & Master list.

7.Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements during audits.

8. Prepare reports on equipment downtime, PM compliance, and spare part usage.

9. Implement Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and cost reduction ideas related to machine reliability.

10.Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and lean maintenance programs.

11. Participate in new equipment trials, installation, commissioning, and layout modifications.

12.Supervise junior engineers and technicians during maintenance jobs.

13.Train team members on troubleshooting methods, safety practices, and equipment handling.

14. Ensure shift-wise handover with clear communication of machine status and pending actions.
