Job summary

Intermed Laboratories in India seeks an experienced electro-mechanical technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial chillers, AHUs, and related systems. You will support BMS/SCADA interfaces and ensure regulatory documentation and electrical safety compliance.

The role requires 3–6 years of hands-on experience in regulated pharma or sterile manufacturing facilities, with strong CGMP understanding and safety practices (LOTO).

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or RAC is required.
• 3–6 years of hands-on electro-mechanical utility experience preferred in regulated pharma/biotech facilities.
• Knowledge of CGMP, electrical safety LOTO, and schematic reading.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers (scroll, screw, or centrifugal).
• Maintain AHUs, dehumidifiers, exhaust systems and verify differential pressures and HEPA integrity.

Job description

• Chiller Maintenance: Execute preventive and corrective tasks on industrial water-cooled or air-cooled chillers (scroll, screw, or centrifugal), monitoring compressor performance, refrigerant levels, oil pressures, and water flow switches.
• HVAC & AHU Upkeep: Maintain cleanroom Air Handling Units (AHUs), dehumidifiers, exhaust systems, and verify differential pressures, air velocity, and HEPA filter integrity.
• Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair control panels, Motor Control Center (MCC) panels, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), compressors, pump motors, and actuator wiring using multimeters and megging tools.
• BMS/SCADA Integration: Interface with Building Management Systems (BMS) and automation controls to monitor real-time temperature, humidity, and system alarms
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain rigorous logbooks, breakdown histories, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and audit-ready compliance checklists required for regulatory bodies.

Key Requirements

• Education: Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC).
• Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on electro-mechanical utility experience, ideally within a regulated pharma, biotech, or sterile manufacturing facility.
