Job summary

DNS Fine Chemicals & Laboratories (p) seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to oversee critical pharma plant equipment and utilities. You will plan preventive and predictive maintenance, perform breakdown repairs, and ensure equipment reliability in a regulated manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands‑on expertise with automated systems/PLCs, reading P&ID and electrical schematics, and working with CMMS, IQ/OQ/PQ validations, and audits to support quality and production targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 4–8 years' hands-on maintenance experience in a regulated pharma/API manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of automated systems/PLCs, P&ID interpretation, electrical schematics, and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for core pharmaceutical machinery.
• Oversee plant utilities including HVAC, cleanrooms, water systems (WFI/RO), and compressed air.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO through logs of equipment history, repairs, and calibration.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or PLC faults to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with quality control, validation, and production during audits and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance: Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for core pharmaceutical machinery.
• Utilities Management: Oversee critical plant utilities including HVAC systems, cleanrooms, water systems (WFI/RO), and compressed air.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain strict compliance with cGMP, FDA, and ISO standards by keeping accurate logs for equipment history, repairs, and calibration records.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Quickly identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or PLC faults to minimize production downtime.
• Cross-Functional Support: Coordinate with quality control, validation, and production teams during audits, equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and plant upgrades.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: 4 to 8 years of hands‑on maintenance experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably pharma or API.
• Core Skills: Strong technical grasp of automated systems/PLCs, reading P&ID and electrical schematics, and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
