Job summary

Care Essentials International invites applications for a Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance and planning for SMMS/SMS non-woven production lines at our Ahmedabad facilities. You will supervise maintenance teams, implement preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical and PLC issues, and drive reliability improvements.

Strong hands-on experience with SMMS/SMS lines, knowledge of motors, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics is essential.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with electrical knowledge preferred.
• Experience with SMMS/SMS non-woven production lines is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, drives, bearings, web handling, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC‑controlled machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot SMMS non-woven production lines and other automated machines.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, PLC, and automation-related issues.
• Minimise machine downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate with automation vendors for major troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Ensure consistent machine performance, product quality, and process stability.
• Train operators on machine operation, preventive care, and safety.
• Maintain maintenance records, SOPs, and machine history.
• Drive machine modifications, process improvements, and cost‑saving initiatives.

Job Summary

We are looking to appoint on a long term basis a Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience on running, planning production, maintenance, providing overall supervision and leadership on the following machines:

SMS machine making Nonwoven fabric

LDPE lamination machine

Perforation machine

The ideal candidate should have experience in SMMS/SMS non-woven production lines and be passionate about machine performance, preventive maintenance, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot SMMS non-woven production lines and other automated machines.

Required Skills

• Should have proven safety record.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical knowledge preferred)
• 610 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience with SMMS/SMS non-woven production lines is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, drives, bearings, web handling, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC‑controlled machinery.
• Ability to independently diagnose machine problems and improve reliability.
