Job summary

Hillpoint Acoustic Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to plan, organize, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across production machinery, utilities, and facility equipment.

You will ensure maximum machine availability, develop maintenance schedules, diagnose faults, and lead root cause analyses to drive reliability improvements and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• 310+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, acoustics, interiors, construction materials, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, TPM, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with maintenance planning software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
• Strong troubleshooting, leadership, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and statutory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for all production machinery, utilities, and facility equipment.
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime by responding promptly to equipment failures and production interruptions.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for machines, compressors, electrical systems, HVAC units, and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system faults and implement effective corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective and preventive measures.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, testing, and validation of new machinery, equipment, and utility systems.
• Ensure all manufacturing equipment operates within specified performance and quality parameters.
• Evaluate maintenance processes and recommend equipment upgrades, modifications, or replacements to improve productivity and reliability.
• Submit periodic reports on machine uptime, breakdown analysis, maintenance costs, spare consumption, and improvement projects to management.

Job description

1. Monitor machine performance, reliability, and maintenance KPIs to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
2. Manage maintenance records, machine history cards, service logs, calibration records, and statutory compliance documentation.
3. Ensure adequate availability of critical spare parts, consumables, tools, and maintenance materials through proper inventory control.
4. Coordinate with procurement and vendors for spare parts sourcing, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and external service support.
5. Inspect and maintain electrical panels, motors, drives, sensors, compressors, generators, lighting systems, and other utility equipment.
6. Ensure proper functioning of factory utilities including power supply systems, air compressors, ventilation systems, and water systems.
7. Lead troubleshooting activities during emergency breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of production operations.
8. Implement energy-saving initiatives and cost-reduction measures related to maintenance and utility consumption.
9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and statutory requirements.
10. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments for machines and maintenance activities.
11. Supervise and guide maintenance technicians, electricians, fitters, and external contractors to ensure quality execution of work.
12. Prepare maintenance budgets and monitor maintenance expenses while optimizing operational costs.
13. Coordinate with production, quality, stores, and management teams to align maintenance activities with business requirements.
14. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, and reliability improvement programs across the facility.
15. Support audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections by maintaining accurate maintenance and compliance records.
16. Train operators and technicians on basic equipment care, preventive maintenance practices, and safe operating procedures
