Job summary

Tube Investments of India Limited (TII) in Coimbatore is seeking a maintenance engineer to plan, execute and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical equipment, motors, drives, transformers, and switchgear.

You will diagnose faults, reduce downtime, ensure safety, maintain drawings and docs, and contribute to TPM, Kaizen and energy-saving projects, with 3–8 years of mechanical maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of experience in Mechanical maintenance in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, foundry, or process industries.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Monitor the health of motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
• Conduct periodic inspections and implement predictive maintenance practices.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in machines and equipment.
• Minimize downtime by ensuring timely restoration of production equipment.
• Analyze root causes of recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain HT/LT panels, Motors, Gear Motors.
• Ensure proper functioning of power distribution systems.
• Maintain electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Adhere to electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and statutory regulations.
• Ensure compliance with electrical inspection requirements and audits.
• Promote safe work practices among maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction.
• Participate in TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Support automation and process improvement projects.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 to 8 years of experience in Mechanical maintenance in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, foundry, or process industries.
• Experience in Machine, Gearbox, Gear motor, and industrial automation preferred.
