Job summary

Lead Hr Services is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to maximize equipment uptime through structured maintenance planning, TPM initiatives, and RCCA across manufacturing lines.

You will lead maintenance teams, develop SOPs, monitor KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE), and coordinate with production, engineering, and quality to ensure smooth operations. Strong English communication and hands-on experience with electromechanical systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics.
• 8–10 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing/engineering.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Male candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proven experience in production equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Experience with electromechanical manufacturing environments (connectors, cable assemblies, wiring harness).

Job description

• Ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency through structured maintenance planning and execution
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Drive initiatives related to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement
• Analyze equipment breakdowns and implement root cause corrective actions (RCCA)
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTBF, MTTR, and equipment efficiency
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance logs, reports, and spare parts inventory
• Optimize spare parts management and inventory control to avoid production disruptions
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new machines and equipment
• Provide technical guidance and training to the maintenance team
• Lead automation, energy-saving, and cost-reduction initiatives within maintenance operations
