Job description

Job Purpose (Significance of the role & Objectives)

As a Maintenance Engineer, Ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery and equipment by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance. Identify and resolve technical issues, minimize downtime, and optimize performance. Maintain accurate maintenance records and collaborate with teams to enhance operational efficiency and safety

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Responsible for the execution of maintenance jobs like preventive & breakdown maintenance
• Responsible for the execution of regular repair, maintenance & testing as per plan.
• Help in Safety initiatives and other major initiatives to achieve zero accidents.
• Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations.
• Maintenance of Safety equipment - Hydrant / Sprinkler system, Emergency lighting / Exit sign boards, FAS & ETP System
• Maintenance and handling of various infrastructural equipment - AHU, Chillers, A/ Cs, Air receiver tanks, Lifts, Lifting tools, tackles, Compressors, DG.
• Building maintenance - repairs/leakages, glazed glasses, flooring, sanitation, plumbing, tube lights, batteries
• Engineering vendor development for spares and services
• Keep generator, lighting, and electrical systems in working order.
• Diagnose problems and then repair/replace defective parts.
• They need to act quickly when a breakdown occurs, and they must be able to tell management whether the problem can be corrected and whether business can continue as usual. If regular activities must be stopped, the electrician will have to estimate how long a shutdown will last.
• Make periodic inspections for new electrical services, including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contractors, relays, timers, and controls.
• Performs electrical maintenance and repair work; installs/replaces fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.
• Maintains records and logs as needed.
• Able to understand electrical Drawings.
• Should deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
• Follow the health safety policies and procedures of the organization.
• Team player with good communication skills in Kannada/English/Hindi.

Desired Qualifications: Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

• Qualification: Preferably (BE or Diploma) in EEE / B.Tech / in Electrical or Mechanical (Automobile Engineering).
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Highest level of integrity
• Sense of ownership and pride in his/her performance and its impact on the company’s success
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to changes and is flexible with tight schedules.
