Maintenance Engineer

Join Hitachi Energy India Ltd as a Maintenance Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance, focusing on preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of high-value assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on equipment such as induction machines, vacuum ovens, and winding machines.
• Execute planned maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with ISO documentation and PM checklists.
• Perform hands‑on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of robotics systems.
• Utilize instrumentation and automation techniques to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Understand and troubleshoot PLC/HMI programming to optimize machinery performance.
• Work with CNC winding machines and special purpose machines (SPM).
• Manage pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including power packs and compressors.
• Prepare maintenance strategies, procedures, and documentation including PM checklists and history cards.
• Respond to equipment faults and carry out routine maintenance work across electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose breakdown problems and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure continuous cover of machinery and equipment during breakdowns.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor and control maintenance plans, documentation, MTTR, MTBR, and equipment availability.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate in Kannada, English, and Hindi.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 3-4+ years in a relevant industry.
• Required Skills: Periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, PLC/HMI programming, robotics systems, instrumentation, and automation.
• Good to Have Skills: Experience with CMMS/SAP PM module.
