Job summary

Dynpro is seeking an experienced IT professional to manage incident and problem resolution for bank-grade mainframe systems. You’ll apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to mainframe applications and batch workloads, focusing on reliability, automation, and proactive monitoring.

You will collaborate on software deployments, audit processes, and risk assessments while contributing to modernization efforts and API-enabled integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Run-the-Bank (RTB) and enterprise production support in banking/financial services
• Strong mainframe skillset and IBM utilities knowledge
• Experience with hybrid cloud and API enablement is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for severity outages and PIR/RCA
• Apply SRE principles to mainframe applications and batch workloads
• Collaborate on release, change, and risk assessments for deployments

Role & responsibilities

Core Role Responsibilities

• Incident & Problem Management: Provide L2/L3productionsupport, coordinate resolution for Severity 13 client outages, drive service restoration, and execute Post Incident Reviews (PIR/RCA) to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Apply SRE principles tomainframeapplications and batch workloads, focusing on system reliability, resiliency, automation, observability, monitoring, and proactive alerting.
• Release & Change Management: Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and risk teams to ensure seamless software deployments,productionreleases, audit walkthroughs, change management, and risk assessments.
• Architecture & Modernization: Contribute to enterprise architecture andmainframemodernization initiatives bysupporting legacy application transformation, application re-architecture, API enablement, batch modernization, and integration with distributed and cloud-native platforms.
• Solution Design & Integration: Partner with enterprise architects and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions, enabling integration betweenmainframeand distributed applications using APIs, messaging platforms, and event-driven architectures.
• Automation & DevOps: Drive operational excellence through automation ofproductionsupport activities, CI/CD enablement, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and implementation of observability and monitoring solutions.

Typical Requirements

• Experience: 9–12 years of IT experience with a strong background in Run-the-Bank (RTB), enterpriseproductionsupport, applicationsupport, or architecture within the banking and financial services domain.
• Technical Stack: Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and IBMMainframe technologies. Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M), IBM utilities, and ITIL-based service management. Strong experience in managing applications on both Legacy Mainframe and Open Systems Java environment. Experience in Mainframes and Java technologies.
• Architecture & Modernization: Experience or exposure to application modernization, legacy transformation, enterprise architecture, API enablement, hybrid cloud integration, microservices, container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.
• DevOps & Observability: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, automation frameworks, and monitoring/observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar solutions is an advantage.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, crisis management, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in 24x7 enterpriseproductionenvironments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
