Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mainframe/Application Support professional in Pune to provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and enhancements for critical mainframe applications.

You will manage incidents, problems, changes, and risks following ITIL practices, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize performance. The role requires strong COBOL/JCL/CICS/IMS knowledge, MQ Series, and CA7 scheduling tools, with a focus on service quality, collaboration,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant Mainframe/Application Support experience.
• Strong understanding of COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ Series, and scheduling tools.
• Experience in production support and ITIL-based service management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day application support, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Handle Incident, Problem, Change, and Risk Management following ITIL processes.
• Troubleshoot, analyze root causes, and resolve production issues.
• Perform debugging, impact analysis, and application performance optimization.
• Support software upgrades, database changes, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Coordinate with business teams, SMEs, vendors, and hosting providers.
• Ensure application stability, quality, and responsiveness.
• Participate in release, change, and project-related activities.
• Maintain code quality and identify improvement opportunities.
