Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled Mainframe Batch Support professional to manage end-to-end batch jobs using JCL, COBOL, VSAM and CICS. You will monitor job streams, validate dependencies, restart/rerun procedures and perform abend analysis.

Expertise with REXX, CA7 and AutoSys, plus hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF and JES, is required. Banking domain knowledge and ServiceNow ticketing experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Mainframe Batch support with JCL, COBOL and VSAM.
• Proficient in abend analysis and incident resolution in batch environments.
• Experience with CA7/AutoSys for monitoring and scheduling batch jobs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage end-to-end batch jobs, including dependency validation and restarts.
• Perform abend analysis and rapid incident resolution to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure smooth execution of batch processes.

Job description

• Strong hands-on experience in Mainframe Batch support including JCL, COBOL, VSAM, CICS, REXX Experience in CA7 and AutoSys job monitoring/scheduling, job dependency validation, restart/rerun procedures, abend analysis, incident analysis and issue resolution.
• Good understanding of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JES, mainframe utilities and file handling.

Good to have:

• Banking domain knowledge, DB2 query execution/troubleshooting, Control-M exposure, ITIL process understanding, ServiceNow ticketing experience, REXX-based automation, and experience in supporting business-critical mainframe batch applications.
