Job Title: Batch Job Management Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Batch Job Management Engineer to manage and support enterprise batch processing environments across mainframe and distributed systems. The role involves batch scheduling, workflow management, incident resolution, production support, and ensuring smooth execution of critical banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and monitor batch jobs across DEV, UAT, and Production environments.
• Manage batch schedules, dependencies, workflows, calendars, and SLAs.
• Monitor batch execution and troubleshoot job failures.
• Perform job restarts, reruns, and recovery activities following established procedures.
• Support production incidents and drive root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Work with application and infrastructure teams during releases and batch onboarding.
• Manage Mainframe batch operations using JCL and support CICS-related operational activities.
• Support and monitor Apache Airflow batch jobs, including DAG scheduling, retries, alerts, and backfills.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
• Ensure compliance with operational controls, audit requirements, and security standards.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and batch recovery exercises.
• Communicate batch status, incidents, and recovery plans to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Batch Job Scheduling and Production Control.
• Hands‑on experience with Mainframe JCL.
• Good understanding of CICS operations.
• Experience with Apache Airflow (DAG management, scheduling, monitoring, retries, backfills).
• Strong knowledge of incident management, problem management, and batch recovery procedures.
• Experience managing complex job dependencies and workflows.
• Understanding of IT operations, risk controls, and governance processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments.
