URL Aseptic Automation Inc. in Ahmedabad is seeking a machining planning specialist to manage planning, tracking, costing, and vendor coordination for machined components.

You will read drawings, coordinate with design, purchase and production teams, ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency, and maintain inspection records.

Candidates should be proficient with CNC, VMC, turning, milling and grinding; familiar with QC instruments, MS Excel, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes and shop practices.
• Ability to plan, track, and cost manufacturing jobs.
• Experience with vendor coordination and QC documentation.
• Proficient in MS Excel for costing and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Plan machining requirements based on drawings, BOMs, and production schedules.
• Track machining progress, pending jobs, and delivery schedules.
• Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare cost comparisons.
• Coordinate with vendors for pricing, lead times, delivery commitments, and quality issues.
• Inspect incoming machined parts for dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish as per drawings.
• Maintain records of machining costs, vendor details, job status, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with design, purchase, and production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Responsible for machining planning, job tracking, vendor costing, and quality control of incoming machined components to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with engineering specifications.

Role & responsibilities

• Planning: Plan machining requirements based on engineering drawings, BOMs, and production schedules.
• Tracking: Monitor machining progress, pending jobs, and delivery schedules.
• Costing: Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare cost comparison statements.
• Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for pricing, lead times, delivery commitments, and quality issues.
• Quality Control: Inspect incoming machined parts for dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish as per drawings.
• Documentation: Maintain records of machining costs, vendor details, job status, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with design, purchase, and production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of CNC, VMC, turning, milling, and grinding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and dimensional tolerances.
• Understanding of engineering materials, fits, and surface finish.
• Knowledge of QC instruments: Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Indicator, and Thread Gauges.
• Good MS Excel skills for costing, vendor comparison, and job tracking.
• Strong analytical, communication, and vendor coordination skills.
• Experience in machine manufacturing, automation, or packaging machinery preferred
