Role & responsibilities

We are hiring a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain production lines including Panel, Profile, Flashing, Bending, and Slitting units. The candidate will ensure optimal machine parameters, adherence to product specifications, and strict compliance with workplace safety (EHS) and 5S standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Operations & First-Level Maintenance

• Set up, operate, and monitor production lines (Panel, Profile, Flashing, Bending, Slitting) strictly as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform pre-start checks, verify machine readiness, and ensure proper material feeding, changeovers, and die/tool setting.
• Conduct basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and autonomous maintenance checks per checklist.
• Maintain accurate shift production logs, output records, rejection details, and downtime reports.
• Follow EHS guidelines, use prescribed PPE, maintain workstation 5S/housekeeping, and handle raw materials carefully to prevent damage.

2. Machine-Specific Operational Scope

• PUF / PIR Panel Line: Control foaming parameters, mix ratio/index (NCO:OH), line speed, pressures, and temperatures; execute in-process checks (cream/gel times, core density, peel adhesion); follow pentane safety (EX-proof/LEL, earthing, ventilation); and log ERP/MES shift data.
• CNC Press Brake (Bending): Select, install, and adjust appropriate tooling/dies based on material type, thickness, and hemming requirements to bend sheet metal per technical drawings.
• Hydraulic Shearing Machine: Set up rake angles and back gauges to cut MS / PPGL sheets accurately per drawing specifications.

Specific Authorities Granted

• Authority to stop operations immediately upon detecting unsafe equipment or safety hazards.
• Authority to escalated quality deviations and call for maintenance intervention.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: 6+ months of operating experience in sheet metal fabrication, panel manufacturing, or roll forming/slitting lines.
• Technical Skills: Basic blueprint/drawing reading, machine parameter adjustments, hand measuring tool proficiency, and foundational knowledge of safety standards (LOTO, PPE, 5S).
