Job summary

Tech Mahindra seeks an experienced Monitoring & Observability engineer in Hyderabad to manage enterprise monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace and Datadog. You will pro-actively monitor, tune alerts, correlate events, and handle incident management across hybrid infrastructure including AWS services.

You will configure dashboards, SLA/KPI reports, and service health views while collaborating with cross-functional teams and improving MTTR. 4–8+ years in SRE/Production Support preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace administration and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog Infrastructure Monitoring, APM, Logs, and Dashboards.
• Strong understanding of observability concepts, application performance monitoring, distributed tracing, and log analytics.
• Experience with AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and cloud-native services.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise monitoring platforms including Dynatrace and Datadog.
• Perform proactive monitoring, event correlation, alert tuning, and incident management.
• Configure and maintain dashboards, SLA/KPI reports, and service health views.
• Monitor AWS and hybrid infrastructure components using Dynatrace, Datadog, CloudWatch, and related observability tools.
• Analyze alerts, identify root causes, and reduce alert noise to improve MTTR.
• Configure and manage OneAgent, Smartscape, APM, infrastructure monitoring, log analytics, and synthetic monitoring.
• Integrate monitoring solutions with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow/Assyst.
• Develop and maintain monitoring SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation.
• Support 24x7 operations and participate in incident/problem management activities.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Middleware, CI/CD, Linux, and Windows support teams for end-to-end service observability.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the monitoring ecosystem.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace administration and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog Infrastructure Monitoring, APM, Logs, and Dashboards.
• Strong understanding of observability concepts, application performance monitoring, distributed tracing, and log analytics.
• Experience with AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and cloud-native services.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Experience in alert configuration, threshold tuning, and incident management.
• Understanding of ServiceNow/ITSM processes.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Instana, Splunk, Grafana, or similar monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Scripting/automation using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to middleware technologies (WMB, JBoss Fuse, ActiveMQ, DataPower).

Experience

• 4-8+ years in Monitoring, Observability, Site Reliability Engineering, or Production Support.
• Prior experience supporting large enterprise or insurance/banking environments is preferred.
