Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Dynatrace experience.
• Experience as a Dynatrace SME, Architect, or Lead Consultant.

• Experience leading customer-facing engagements.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace SME / Solution Architect to lead customer observability initiatives and serve as the primary Dynatrace expert for strategic customer engagements.

This is a highly customer-facing role requiring deep expertise in Dynatrace architecture, implementation, observability best practices, and platform optimization. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, governing, and continuously improving Dynatrace environments while enabling customers to maximize value from their observability investments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace, including both traditional observability capabilities and the latest Dynatrace platform innovations such as Grail, DQL, DPL, Workflows, Notebooks, OpenPipeline, Davis AI, and Gen3 capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Ownership & Advisory

• Serve as the primary Dynatrace SME and trusted advisor for customer engagements.
• Lead customer discovery sessions and gather observability requirements.
• Define observability strategies, monitoring standards, and governance models.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for platform optimization.
• Educate customers on observability best practices and Dynatrace capabilities.
• Conduct workshops, enablement sessions, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Guide customers in adopting new Dynatrace platform capabilities and features.
• Design scalable Dynatrace architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Define tagging strategies, management zones, naming standards, and monitoring governance.
• Design alerting strategies, anomaly detection configurations, SLOs, and service monitoring frameworks.
• Establish observability standards for applications, infrastructure, logs, metrics, traces, and digital experience monitoring.

Implementation & Deployment

• Perform end-to-end Dynatrace implementation and onboarding activities.
• Deploy and configure OneAgent, ActiveGate, and supporting platform components.
• Onboard applications, infrastructure, Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, and cloud services.
• Configure monitoring policies, dashboards, alerts, anomaly detection, and automation workflows.
• Implement integrations with cloud platforms, ITSM tools, CI/CD pipelines, and third-party monitoring solutions.
• Review customer environments and identify monitoring gaps.
• Perform health checks and observability maturity assessments.
• Recommend platform improvements, monitoring enhancements, and operational best practices.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities.
• Drive adoption of new Dynatrace capabilities and observability standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Dynatrace Expertise

• 5+ years of hands-on Dynatrace experience.
• Proven experience as a Dynatrace SME, Architect, or Lead Consultant.
• Strong experience in Dynatrace architecture, implementation, administration, and optimization.
• Experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale Dynatrace environments.
