Job summary

Provilac is seeking a Dairy Logistic Manager in Pune to oversee daily last-mile delivery operations for dairy products. You will handle delivery planning, route optimization, and fleet coordination while ensuring timely order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include managing delivery teams, coordinating dispatch and inventory, and driving process improvements with daily MIS reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration or a related field.
• 48 years of experience in last-mile logistics, FMCG, dairy, e-commerce, quick commerce, D2C or similar delivery operations.
• Strong experience in route planning, fleet coordination and last-mile delivery operations.
• Experience managing delivery teams and day-to-day logistics operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics/inventory management systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Valid driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily MIS and report key KPIs to management.
• Identify process gaps and drive improvements in delivery operations.

We are looking for a Dairy Logistic Manager to manage and oversee our daily last-mile delivery operations. The role will be responsible for delivery planning, route optimization, delivery team management, inventory coordination and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of dairy products to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Last-Mile Delivery Management

• Manage the complete daily delivery process for milk and dairy products.
• Assign deliveries to delivery partners based on location, workload and route requirements.
• Monitor delivery progress and ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Coordinate with delivery teams to address delays, failed deliveries and operational issues.
• Ensure smooth dispatch and delivery operations across assigned areas.

Route Planning & Optimization

• Plan and allocate efficient delivery routes based on customer locations and order volumes.
• Optimize routes to reduce travel time, fuel consumption and delivery costs.
• Monitor route adherence and delivery performance.
• Make necessary route and schedule adjustments based on daily operational requirements.

Delivery Team & Fleet Management

• Supervise and coordinate delivery partners and logistics staff.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity and overall team performance.
• Allocate delivery resources effectively based on daily requirements.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation, utilization and operational requirements.
• Ensure delivery teams follow company procedures and service standards.

Inventory & Dispatch Coordination

• Monitor daily inventory levels and coordinate stock requirements with relevant teams.
• Maintain accurate records of products dispatched for delivery.
• Coordinate dispatch quantities with daily delivery requirements.
• Minimize product shortages, wastage, damage and delivery-related losses.
• Ensure proper handling of dairy products throughout the dispatch and delivery process.

Customer Experience & Issue Resolution

• Coordinate with the customer support team to resolve delivery-related complaints and queries.
• Take immediate action on delayed, missed or incorrect deliveries.
• Identify recurring delivery issues and implement corrective measures.
• Work towards improving delivery success rates and overall customer satisfaction.

MIS & Operational Reporting

• Maintain accurate daily records of deliveries, attendance, routes and operational issues.
• Monitor key logistics performance indicators, including:
• On-time delivery percentage
• Delivery success rate
• Delivery accuracy
• Route efficiency
• Fuel consumption
• Cost per order
• Customer complaints
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly logistics reports for management.

Process Improvement

• Identify operational gaps and implement improvements in delivery processes.
• Improve utilization of delivery staff, vehicles and other logistics resources.
• Identify opportunities to reduce delivery time and operational costs.
• Support planning and execution of logistics operations in new delivery areas.
• Continuously improve the efficiency and reliability of last-mile delivery operations.
