Job summary

Shoppers Stop is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain & Logistics professional to oversee end-to-end product flow across warehousing, transport, and 3PL partners in a multi-site network. This role drives delivery performance, optimizes stock, and leads digitization initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards.

You will coordinate shipments, manage inbound/outbound logistics, and collaborate with sales, procurement and finance teams to meet SLAs and business objectives across

Qualifications

• Educational background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or Business.
• 5+ years in warehousing, logistics, distribution, transportation and supply chain ops across FMCG/retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily forward and reverse logistics, distribution network efficiency, and transport performance.
• Monitor and manage inventory movement across warehouses and distribution centres.
• Coordinate shipments to meet customer demand and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee warehouse operations and stock replenishment activities.
• Working knowledge of Bonded warehouse operations.
• Reverse Logistics – manage returns per Terms of Trade.
• Oversee Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers, warehouse compliance, and contract execution.
• Manage relationships with logistics service providers, carriers, and 3PL partners.
• Track and improve transportation performance, delivery timelines, and freight costs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, improve stock visibility, reduce waste/obsolete stock.
• Analyse inventory trends and share with stakeholders for timely actions.
• Drive supply chain digitization and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, procurement, and finance teams to execute launches and OTA targets.
• Lead regular reviews with logistics partners and internal stakeholders.

The role oversees end-to-end product flow, inventory management, and third-party warehouse & transport performance. Core duties include driving delivery metrics, minimizing slow-moving stock, managing Order-to-Delivery (OTD) efficiency, and leading logistics transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Fulfilment:
• Manage daily forward and reverse logistics, distribution network efficiency, and transport performance.
• Monitor and manage inventory movement across warehouses and distribution centres.
• Coordinate shipments to meet customer demand and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee warehouse operations and stock replenishment activities.
• Working knowledge of Bonded warehouse operations.
• Reverse Logistics – Manage to bring Customer Returns back to SS warehouses as per Terms of Trade.
• Partner Management:
• Oversee Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers, warehouse compliance, and contract execution.
• Manage relationships with logistics service providers, carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
• Track and improve transportation performance, delivery timelines, and freight costs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Inventory Control:
• Monitor inventory accuracy, improve stock visibility across the network, reduce waste or obsolete stock.
• Analyse inventory trends and share with stakeholders for timely actions.
• Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:
• Order to Delivery
• Warehouse Utilization
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
• Drive supply chain digitization and automation initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management & Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, procurement, and finance teams to execute promotional launches and order-to-delivery targets.
• Ensure customer requirements are fulfilled by balancing operational efficiency
• Lead regular reviews with logistics partners and internal stakeholders
• Risk & Compliance Management
• Develop contingency plans for transportation disruptions and supply chain risks.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support business continuity planning and crisis management activities.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business.
• Experience: 5+ years in Warehousing, Logistics, Distribution, Transportation and Supply Chain operations of FMCG/Consumer Durable/Retail/Modern Trade for multi-site distribution networks and 3PL partners.
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse operations, Forward Logistics, Reverse Logistics, Transportation management, Distribution processes, and Inventory control.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (MM/SD), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transport Management System (TMS) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Conditional Formatting etc…).
• Core Competencies: Strong root-cause data analysis, Project management, and Stakeholder negotiation abilities.
