Job summary

GEM Home and Kitchen Appliances is looking for an experienced logistics professional to manage end-to-end logistics operations across India. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, plan dispatches to distributors, dealers, warehouses and customers, and collaborate with production, sales, warehouse and accounts to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires building a strong transporter network and negotiating freight rates to optimize costs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Pan-India transportation and distribution logistics.
• Experience in home appliances or related industries preferred.
• Robust transporter network and freight-negotiation capabilities.
• Knowledge of warehousing and inventory movement processes.
• Proficient with GST, e-way bills, and logistics documentation.
• Strong Excel, ERP, and MIS reporting skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume dispatch operations.
• Analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Plan dispatches to distributors, dealers, warehouses and customers across India.
• Coordinate with production, sales, warehouse and accounts teams for timely dispatches.
• Develop relationships with transporters, logistics service providers and freight partners.
• Negotiate transportation rates and contracts to optimize costs.
• Monitor vehicle placement, loading, transit time, delivery and POD collection.
• Optimize route planning and vehicle capacity utilization.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, shortages, damages and transportation-related issues.
• Monitor freight cost per unit/vehicle/route for cost reduction.
• Manage transportation via FTL, PTL and other modes.
• Prepare invoices, e-way bills, LR/GR and dispatch documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouses and CFA locations for stock movement and replenishment.
• Monitor transporter bills and freight claims with Accounts.
• Handle reverse logistics including damaged goods and returns.
• Maintain transporter performance on cost, delivery timelines, and service quality.
• Prepare logistics MIS for management daily/weekly/monthly.
• Ensure GST, e-way bill and transportation requirements compliance.

Job Purpose

To manage end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, dispatch, warehouse coordination, freight management and delivery of finished goods across India, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete inbound and outbound logistics operations for the organization.
• Plan and execute dispatches of finished goods to distributors, dealers, warehouses and customers across India.
• Coordinate with production, sales, warehouse and accounts teams for timely dispatches.
• Manage and develop relationships with transporters, logistics service providers and freight partners.
• Negotiate transportation rates and contracts to optimize overall logistics costs.
• Monitor vehicle placement, loading, transit time, delivery and POD collection.
• Ensure proper utilization of vehicle capacity and optimize route planning.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, shortages, damages and transportation-related issues.
• Monitor freight cost per unit/vehicle/route and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Manage transportation through FTL, PTL and other applicable modes.
• Ensure timely preparation and verification of invoices, e-way bills, LR/GR and dispatch documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouses and CFA locations for stock movement and replenishment.
• Monitor transporter bills and verify freight claims before submission to Accounts.
• Handle reverse logistics, including damaged goods, sales returns and replacement movements.
• Maintain transporter performance based on cost, delivery timelines, damages and service quality.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics MIS for management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable GST, e-way bill and transportation requirements.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Pan-India transportation and distribution logistics.
• Experience in home appliances, white goods, consumer durables, electronics, FMCG or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong transporter network and freight negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse and inventory movement processes.
