Job summary

Safran Aircraft Engine Services India Private Limited in Hyderabad invites an experienced logistics professional to manage end-to-end import and export operations in support of production and customer delivery requirements.

You will coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, airlines and 3PL providers, review shipping documents, ensure customs compliance, and align PO, invoice and packing lists to reduce risk. 8-12 years of logistics experience, preferably SEZ experience, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export operations to support production and customer delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, airlines, transporters, CHA and 3PL providers for shipment planning and execution.
• Review and validate Purchase Orders, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, AWB/BL, shipping documents and customs documentation before shipment arrival or dispatch.
• Ensure alignment between PO, invoice, packing list, Bill of Entry, shipping bill and statutory documents to avoid documentation issues.
• Manage customs clearance activities and ensure timely release of import and export shipments.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, Finance and other internal stakeholders to support operational priorities.
• Handle SEZ transactions, DTA clearances, temporary removals, re-imports, re-exports and related compliance activities.
• Support licenses, permits, applications and approvals related to military or controlled items, as applicable.
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory agencies for required approvals and compliance closures.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve transportation delays, customs queries, documentation discrepancies and logistics risks.
• Evaluate best logistics routes based on cost, transit time, risk and urgency, and support cost reduction initiatives.
• Manage logistics service providers and monitor service performance against business requirements.
• Validate logistics service completion and invoices, and support P2P activities for timely payment processing.
