Job summary

Butler Leather Goods in Chennai is seeking a Logistics Executive to manage end-to-end export and import shipments, prepare and verify documents, and coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, customs, transporters, and shipping lines. The role requires hands-on logistics experience and strong coordination skills.

The candidate should be proficient in MS Excel, have good written and spoken English, and be able to handle multiple shipments simultaneously while ensuring timely dispatch and strict

Qualifications

• Experience in export/import logistics and documentation.
• Coordination with freight forwarders, CHA, customs and transporters.
• Understanding of Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW) and shipping bills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the complete export/import shipment process.
• Prepare and check shipping documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, customs, transporters and shipping lines.
• Arrange transportation and shipment bookings.
• Track shipments and ensure timely dispatch/delivery, coordinating with production and warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

The person will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the complete export/import shipment process
• Preparing and checking shipping documents
• Coordinating with freight forwarders, CHA, customs, transporters and shipping lines
• Arranging transportation and shipment bookings
• Tracking shipments and ensuring timely dispatch/deliveryCoordinating with production and warehouse for shipment readiness
• Following up on pending documents and shipment issues
• Maintaining proper records of all shipments
• Coordinating with Accounts and other internal departments
• Ensuring that shipments are completed within the required timelines
