Job summary

Pluckk in Bengaluru is seeking a field-heavy FMCG Last Mile Executive to support end-to-end delivery operations. You will manage fleets, monitor deliveries, and coordinate with warehouses and support teams to maintain SLAs.

The role requires extensive travel across distribution centres, rider hubs, and partner locations. You will drive improvements in on-time delivery and handle fresh produce in line with cold-chain standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, FMCG, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, or related operations.
• Familiarity with delivery management systems and tracking tools.
• Proficient in MS Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and data tracking.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily last-mile dispatch operations and ensure timely order allocation to riders.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for smooth order handover and dispatch readiness.
• Monitor real-time delivery performance and ensure adherence to customer slots and SLAs.
• Coordinate with delivery executives, gig riders, fleet vendors, and 3PL partners.
• Ensure rider availability, shift-wise deployment, attendance, and productivity.
• Track delayed, undelivered, failed, and re-attempt orders and drive timely resolution.
• Identify bottlenecks and elevate delivery issues proactively.
• Drive reduction in delays, re-attempts, cancellations, and operational leakages.
• Monitor metrics like OTD %, delivery success rate, and rider productivity.
• Maintain daily dispatch, rider, delivery, attendance, and operational records.

Job description

The FMCG Last Mile Executive will support end-to-end last-mile delivery operations ensuring timely and efficient order dispatch and delivery coordination. The role will manage vehicle fleet coordination, monitor deliveries, coordinate with warehouse and customer support teams, resolve operational issues, and ensure adherence to delivery SLAs and operational SOPs.

This is a field-intensive role requiring extensive travel across distribution centres, delivery zones, rider hubs, and partner locations including intercity travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily last-mile dispatch operations and ensure timely order allocation to riders.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for smooth order handover and dispatch readiness.
• Monitor real-time delivery performance and ensure adherence to customer slots and delivery SLAs.
• Coordinate with delivery executives, gig riders, fleet vendors, and 3PL partners.
• Ensure rider availability, shift-wise deployment, attendance, and productivity.
• Track delayed, undelivered, failed, and re-attempt orders and drive timely resolution.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively elevate delivery issues.
• Drive reduction in delivery delays, re-attempts, cancellations, and operational leakages.
• Monitor key metrics including OTD %, delivery success rate, first-attempt delivery rate, slot adherence, turnaround time, and rider productivity.
• Ensure proper handling of fresh produce, hygiene standards, freshness, and cold-chain compliance wherever applicable.
• Conduct regular field visits across warehouses, delivery zones, rider hubs, and partner locations including intercity travel.
• Maintain daily dispatch, rider, delivery, attendance, and operational records.
• Prepare MIS and operational reports and provide data-driven insights to supervisors and managers.
• Support operational audits, SOP implementation, process improvement, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day last-mile operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, FMCG, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, FMCG, D2C, e-commerce, grocery, hyperlocal, or warehouse operations.
• Prior experience in vehicle, fleet coordination, dispatch, or field operations preferred.
• Familiarity with delivery management systems and operational tracking tools.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and data tracking.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and execution skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts and peak operational hours.
• Extensive travel is mandatory for this role. Candidates unwilling to travel extensively should not apply.
• Fluency in local language for the assigned location is preferred.
