Career27 is seeking a Local Receiving Manager to oversee the accurate receipt of deliveries and the dispatch of returns to vendors. The role focuses on minimizing shrinkage, maintaining cold chain integrity, and ensuring compliance with company procedures in an open receiving area.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of receiving supervisor experience, can work long and flexible hours, and perform in a physically demanding environment with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4).
• 1–2 years receiving supervisor experience required.
• Willing to work long/flexible hours and in all weather conditions.
• Physically demanding role and open-area receiving.

Responsibilities

• Receive and return goods systematically and accurately according to laid down company policies and procedures.
• Conduct quality checks.
• Ensure that the cold chain is maintained.
• Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained.
• Ensure that security procedures are adhered to.
• Assist with relieve security procedures at the back door.
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages.
• Complete all relevant administration/documentation.
• Operate equipment according to laid down standards.
• Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers and suppliers.

Minimises shrinkage risk on receiving doors.
