Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Receiving Head to lead all inbound warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt of materials, accurate Goods Receipt Confirmation (GRC), quality inspection, inventory accuracy, and timely system updates. The role is responsible for managing receiving operations while leading 4 Division Heads and approximately 100 Associates to achieve operational excellence, productivity, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the complete receiving function, ensuring timely unloading, verification, inspection, and put-away of inbound materials.
- Manage and develop a team of 4 Division Heads and approximately 100 Associates, ensuring effective manpower utilization, performance management, and employee development.
- Oversee Goods Receipt Confirmation (GRC) processes, ensuring accurate and timely ERP/WMS transactions.
- Ensure all inbound shipments are verified against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
- Lead the Quality Control (QC) process for incoming materials, ensuring compliance with company quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Vendors, Transporters, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth inbound operations.
- Prepare and execute daily manpower planning, shift allocation, and workload balancing to maximize productivity.
- Monitor and improve receiving productivity, dock utilization, unloading efficiency, and turnaround time.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through proper documentation and system updates.
- Investigate shortages, damages, excess receipts, and quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for receiving operations.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and present KPI performance to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in warehouse receiving, inbound logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience managing large operational teams, including 4 Division Heads and approximately 100 Associates.
- Strong knowledge of Goods Receipt Confirmation (GRC), inventory management, warehouse operations, and quality control processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Experience in high-volume warehouse or distribution center operations.
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience in manpower planning and workforce optimization.
