Job summary

Portway Solutions India Private Limited is seeking a Dispatcher to keep daily trucking operations running smoothly. You will be the first contact for drivers and customers, monitor the workday, resolve issues quickly, and hand off to the next dispatcher in morning meetings.

You will complete ACI/ACE manifests, update the A1 TMS and Excel sheets, verify driver attendance, and drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, productivity, and accuracy while ensuring safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience with cross-border manifests (ACI/ACE) preferred.
• Proficient in updating TMS and Excel sheets.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and customers.
• Strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Adopt a continuous improvement approach to identify opportunities to optimize processes, productivity and accuracy.
• Take ownership of relevant KPIs and monitor daily operations.
• Act as the first point of contact to resolve operational concerns for drivers and customers.
• Answer incoming calls and assist drivers/customers as required.
• Complete ACI/ACE manifests as required.
• Coordinate breakdowns with the Breakdown Center for efficient resolution.
• Update Excel sheets and A1 (TMS) progress after daily operations, and participate in morning handoffs.

Job description

The Dispatcher keeps daily trucking operations running smoothly. You act as the first point of contact for drivers and customers, monitor the workday, resolve issues and breakdowns quickly, and keep all records accurate. You also complete cross-border manifests (ACI/ACE), update the A1 TMS and Excel sheets, verify driver attendance, and hand off to the next dispatcher in morning meetings. Alongside this, you own relevant KPIs, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and continuously look for ways to improve processes, productivity, and accuracy.

• Adopt a continuous improvement approach to identify and implement opportunities aimed at optimizing processes, productivity, operational accuracy.
• Ensure operations comply with applicable safety standards and regulations, while proposing improvements where appropriate.
• Take ownership of relevant KPIs.
• Proactively monitor the development of daily operations, manage unexpected situations, resolve issues, and act as the first point of contact to quickly address operational concerns.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist drivers / customers as is required.
• Complete ACI / ACE manifests as required.
• Coordinate breakdowns with the Breakdown Center for efficient resolution
• Update Excel sheets as needed, fill out various forms and update A1 (TMS) based on the progress of the workday
• Send the updates & participate in morning meetings with the next dispatcher
