Job summary

Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) in Gurgaon CHQ is seeking a Line Maintenance Manager (LMM) to lead safe, timely line maintenance activities and ensure airworthiness in compliance with DGCA CAR-145.

You will plan and supervise all line maintenance tasks, manage certifying staff across shifts, drive a strong safety culture, and coordinate with operators, CAMO, safety and regulators as required.

Qualifications

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineering qualification or equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in line maintenance.
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of aircraft line maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of aviation safety, quality, and human-factors principles.
• Leadership and people-management skills; effective communication and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise all Line Maintenance activities including defect rectification and minor scheduled maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance is performed per approved procedures, safety and quality standards.
• Manage licensed certifying staff across shifts and line stations.
• Ensure proper shift and task handovers, considering fatigue and human factors.
• Ensure availability of tools, equipment and facilities.
• Oversee completion of work cards, aircraft tech logs, CRS.
• Promote a strong safety culture and timely reporting of safety occurrences.
• Implement corrective actions for audit findings related to line maintenance.
• Coordinate with Operators / CAMO, Compliance & Safety, and regulators when required.

Reports To: Accountable Manager

Role Purpose

The Line Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe, timely, and compliant execution of aircraft line maintenance activities, ensuring aircraft availability and airworthiness while meeting DGCA CAR‑145 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and supervise all Line Maintenance activities including defect rectification, troubleshooting, component replacement and minor scheduled maintenance
• Ensure maintenance is performed strictly in accordance with:
• Approved procedures
• Safety and quality standards
• Manage and deploy licensed certifying staff effectively across shifts and line stations
• Ensure proper shift and task handovers, considering fatigue and human‑factors best practices
• Ensure availability and serviceability of required tools, equipment and support facilities
• Oversee accurate completion of:
• Work cards / task records
• Aircraft technical log entries
• Certificates of Release to Service (CRS)
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure timely reporting and resolution of safety occurrences
• Implement corrective actions for internal and regulatory audit findings related to line maintenance
• Coordinate effectively with:
• Operators / CAMO
• Compliance and Safety teams
• Regulatory authorities when required
