Job Purpose
The role is responsible for performing and supervising base maintenance activities on company aircraft while ensuring adherence to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining airworthiness, supporting technical operations, and ensuring timely and compliant maintenance execution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Maintenance Activities
- Ensure only approved materials and parts are used during all stages of maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling equipment, tools, and during aircraft/component servicing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical requirements issued by Quality, Technical Services, manufacturers, and Airworthiness authorities.
- Supervise technicians and technical staff to ensure adherence to standard Airworthiness procedures.
- Exercise privileges as per AME license/approval in line with DGCA ratings, validity, and experience requirements.
- Verify interchangeability of components through IPC applicability or other approved documentation.
- Report any vehicle, ramp, or aircraft unserviceability to the Shift In-charge immediately.
- Carry out aircraft refueling in compliance with laid-down procedures and safety precautions.
- Report defective shop equipment or tools for timely rectification.
Team Management
- Ensure compliance with Duty Time Limitations for all Line Maintenance staff.
- Conduct competency assessments and annual appraisals to support staff development.
- Support, nurture, and enhance team skills through coaching and guidance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake any additional tasks or projects as assigned by management, reflected appropriately in the role expectations and agreed upon with reporting manager and HR.

Educational & Experience Requirements
Education
- 10+2 (PCM) or equivalent
- Ab-initio AME training from a DGCA-approved institution
- Must hold DGCA AME License with Type Rating/Company Authorization on two or more categories of company aircraft
Experience
- Minimum: 5 years of hands‑on cabin/base maintenance experience on transport category aircraft in a scheduled airline
- Desired: 4 years on Narrow Body (A320 family) and/or Wide Body (B777 & B787)
