A technical role coordinating and overseeing base and line maintenance on behalf of the airline, ensuring strict compliance with CAR145 and OEM standards.
POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Coordinator - CAR 145
DEPARTMENT: Engineering and Maintenance
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Contract (Shift-based, 24x7 coverage)
Job Purpose
- The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities performed by contracted Maintenance Repair Organizations (MROs) on fleet wet leased to SpiceJet. This role ensures aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance through close coordination with flight crews, MRO Engineering teams, MRO stores, MCC, Quikjet Logistics, CAMO and MCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Dedicated Maintenance Oversight of the Part145 MRO Team deployed at Delhi.
- Coordination with International Airlines CAMO, contracted Part-145 MRO and Domestic (Operator).
- Responsible for oversight, and coordination of all aircraft maintenance activities.
- Monitoring of MELs and defect rectification, coordination for required spares.
- Spot check of departures, meet arriving aircraft, liaise with crew & maintenance, ensure paperwork & processes are complete.
- Join daily planning calls with MOC/Ops Mx Planning.
- Daily check of spares availability in stores for routine & upcoming maintenance; returns readied for collection.
- Daily check of spares in customs: ensure their timely release using IEC; coordinate with clearing agents & freight forwarders for imports/exports.
- Daily review of upcoming work orders: confirm contracted MRO readiness and availability of spares, tooling & equipment.
- Daily maintenance documentation check: verify Aircraft Tech Log entries, AMOS entries, DFPs & flag errors.
- Daily maintenance review: compare planned vs. performed work; coordinate with Ops and Mx Planning for re-planning.
- Conduct spot checks of stores management, access & use of maintenance data.
- Conduct aircraft condition audits on a per month per Aircraft basis.
- Provide AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support as and when required.
- Liaise with customs agents and freight forwarders for import/export facilitation.
- Incident/accident/safety issues: Immediate escalation to Fly4 + SpiceJet safety contacts.
- Ensure strict adherence to Fly4 contractual requirements and EASA requirements.
- Escalate compliance deviations with recommendations for corrective measures.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare daily aircraft serviceability reports and review them with the Team Lead before submission to MOC.
- Recommend process improvements based on recurring issues or bottlenecks.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance and coordination.
- Familiarity with AMOS or similar maintenance tracking systems.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and logistics is a plus.
