Job summary

Wissen in Bengaluru is seeking a Level 2 Network Engineer who will provide operational support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Routing & Switching and application delivery technologies, including F5 Load Balancer and Citrix NetScaler.

Qualifications

Position Overview

We are looking for a Level 2 Network Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Routing & Switching and application delivery technologies such as F5 Load Balancer and Citrix NetScaler. The role involves operational support, troubleshooting, configuration, and performance optimization of enterprise network environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Routing & Switching (Cisco/Juniper or equivalent).
• Handle incident, problem, and change management activities as per ITIL processes.
• Configure and support F5 BIG‑IP Load Balancers (LTM, iRules – basic).
• Manage Citrix NetScaler (ADC) including: Virtual Servers, Load balancing methods, SSL offloading, Health monitors.
• Perform network troubleshooting for latency, packet loss, routing loops, and failover issues.
• Work with L3 teams and vendors for complex issues and escalations.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network services.
• Participate in planned maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.
• Create and maintain network documentation, SOPs, and diagrams.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching: TCP/IP, OSI model, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, OSPF, BGP (basic to intermediate), NAT, ACLs; hands‑on experience with Cisco switches/routers (or equivalent).
• Experience with F5 Load Balancer (LTM): pools, nodes, virtual servers, load balancing algorithms, basic iRules understanding.
• Experience with Citrix NetScaler/ADC: LB, SSL, monitoring, HA.
• Network troubleshooting tools: Wireshark, TCP dump, SNMP, logs.
