Job summary

Cforge? Coforge is seeking an experienced network engineer in Hyderabad to design, deploy, and manage Layer 2/3 infrastructure for enterprise-scale environments.

You will configure routing protocols, manage switching, and troubleshoot complex issues while collaborating with security teams to ensure robust, secure connectivity. The role requires 6+ years in routing and switching with CCNP/CCIE (LAB) and OEM certifications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of network routing and switching experience with CCNP or CCIE (LAB) and OEM certifications.
• Experience with routing/switching in enterprise/data center environments.
• Ability to design, deploy, and manage Layer 2/3 networks and troubleshoot complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure across enterprise/data center environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP (as applicable).
• Manage switching technologies: VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, LACP, trunking.
• Handle advanced troubleshooting for network outages, latency, packet loss, and asymmetric routing issues.
• Implement and support high availability and redundancy solutions (HSRP, VRRP, MLAG, VSX, VSS).
• Work closely with firewall and security teams (FortiGate, Check Point, F5 preferred).
• Perform network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization.
• Support WAN, MPLS, Internet and VPN connectivity.
• Manage and troubleshoot load balancers (F5 LTM ? preferred).
• Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
• Provide L3/L4 escalation support and mentor L1/L2 engineers.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, ARP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP
• Routing: OSPF, BGP (route filtering, redistribution, path selection)
• Switching: VLAN, STP, EtherChannel, MAC learning
• Network troubleshooting using packet capture and CLI tools
• Experience with Cisco, Dell switches/routers
• High availability protocols: HSRP / VRRP

Qualifications

B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. (ECE/EEE/CS/IT) with 6+ years of relevant experience in Network Routing and Switching with a valid CCNP or CCIE(LAB) certification and OEM Certifications of Radware/ Checkpoint / F5 /Fortinet.
