Job summary

• Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience managing legal affairs for projects or organizations.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; Mumbai familiarity preferred.
• Marathi language ability and Mumbai-based work access are essential.
• Experience in real estate, infrastructure, energy, or technology sectors is preferred.

Role Description

The Legal Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Legal Manager will oversee legal affairs across the group’s businesses, including infrastructure, marine, energy, real estate, and technology operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents, ensuring legal compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing legal consulting and guidance to internal stakeholders. The role involves managing regulatory filings, coordinating with external counsel, assessing legal risks related to projects and transactions, and supporting dispute resolution and litigation strategy as needed. The Legal Manager will collaborate closely with senior leadership and operational teams to align legal strategy with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and official correspondence.
• Experience in Legal Consulting, providing clear, practical advice to business stakeholders across multiple sectors.
• Demonstrated capability in Legal Compliance, including monitoring regulatory changes and implementing compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience managing Legal Affairs for projects or organizations, including risk assessment and dispute management.
• LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution; additional specialization in corporate or commercial law is an advantage.
• Prior experience in infrastructure, real estate, energy, or technology-related industries preferred.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and make sound decisions under time constraints.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Marathi speaking is a must
• Must be based in Mumbai and familiar with Mumbai Courts
• Experience in Real Estate is a must
