Job summary

Bean Hr Consulting in Mumbai seeks a Manager Legal with 8+ years of post-qualification experience to provide comprehensive legal support across its businesses. Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience in corporate legal matters.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.

• Experience with infrastructure consulting, EPC, real estate or project development preferred.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, consultancy agreements, MoUs, NDAs, JV/consortium agreements, sub-consultancy agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide legal support during bid submissions, contract negotiations and project execution to safeguard the organization's interests.
• Advise business teams on contractual, commercial, regulatory and legal matters arising from consulting assignments.
• Identify legal and contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Coordinate and manage litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution in consultation with external legal counsels.
• Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, labour and other statutory laws and regulations.
• Develop and standardize legal templates, contract management processes and compliance frameworks.
• Conduct legal research and provide timely opinions on emerging legal and regulatory issues impacting the business.
• Support the management team in strategic legal matters, policy formulation and governance initiatives.

Role Overview

The Manager Legal will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across the organization's businesses. The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, mitigating contractual risks, supporting dispute resolution and advising business teams on legal matters related to consulting assignments, joint ventures/consortiums, procurement and commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, consultancy agreements, MoUs, NDAs, JV/consortium agreements, sub-consultancy agreements and other legal documents.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal, commercial contracts and consulting related legal matters.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, consultancy contracts and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, arbitration, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in handling legal matters related to infrastructure consulting, EPC, real estate or project development will be preferred.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in leading infrastructure consulting firms, engineering organizations, real estate developers, reputed corporate legal departments or law firms handling infrastructure and commercial contracts will be preferred.
