Job summary

KIA India is seeking an in-house counsel with strong expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal policy development. The role involves auditing, coordinating with external counsels, and advising on sales and marketing issues within the manufacturing sector.

Candidates should speak English and a local language, be willing to travel on short notice, and have experience in the automotive industry as an in-house counsel or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, litigation –Consumer; Property; Recovery etc.
• Developing and implementing Compliance policies, procedures and code of conduct aligned with company policies
• Proactive regulatory advice and its impact on business
• Conducting awareness/training sessions for employees
• Experience of Tool Management and coordination with external counsels

Responsibilities

• Should have experience in:
• Complaince; Litigation – Consumer; Property; Recovery etc..,.
• Developing and implementing Compliance policies , procedures and code of conduct aligned with our Company’s polices
• Risk Mitigation
• Conducting Compliance Audits and reporting and strategy thereto
• Proactive on Regulatory advice and its impact on business
• Conducting awareness /training and education sessions for our employees
• Experience of Tool Management
• Co-ordination with external counsels
• Case Management – Management Reporting; Feedback from concerned business teams etc...,
• Should be well versed in laws and regulations and should be able to tender opinion/advice on day to day basis, preferably Sales and Marketing issues of manufacturing company
• Should be self-motivated and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
• Should be able to speak English and local language fluently.
• Should be hard working and willing to travel on short notice.
• Experience in Automotive sector as in house counsel is preferable
