Job summary

Meka Infrastructure is seeking a Legal Manager to handle contract management, compliance, risk and regulatory matters across the business. You will draft and negotiate contracts, review vendor and partner agreements, and guide leadership on regulatory issues.

You will ensure adherence to Companies Act, Tax laws, Transfer Pricing Regulations and HR laws, while protecting the company from legal risks and enabling smooth operations in a dynamic infrastructure environment, Mumbai-based.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) mandatory.
• Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) preferred.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience in legal compliance and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

Profile Overview - The Legal Manager is responsible for handling all legal matters of the company including contract management, legal compliance, dispute resolution, documentation, regulatory coordination, and risk management. The role ensures that the companys business operations are legally compliant and protected against legal risks.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare appropriate legal documents for trial or court proceedings.
• Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings.
• Design and oversee the companys policies and positions on legal matters.
• Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
• Examine legal issues related to the company’s services and negotiate contracts and deals on behalf of the company.
• Guide management on regulatory and compliance matters to ensure adherence to legal regulations.
• Draft and execute inter-company agreements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, Transfer Pricing Regulations, and Human Resource laws
• Handle any other legal matters that may arise from time to time, providing comprehensive legal assistance to support the company’s overall functions and compliance

Requirements Experience

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in legal and contractual management..
• Experience in the Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or related industries is an advantage
