About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic legal professional to join our team as Assistant Manager Legal. In this role, candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive end-to-end legal services across all business functions, safeguarding the companys interests, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws & regulations including but not limited to contract management, litigation, advisory, and policy support. This role requires a proactive, adaptable professional with strong expertise in corporate, commercial, e-commerce law, RBI/SEBI, labour laws, and regulatory law including IPRs, IT Act, DPDP Act, & industry-specific regulations, capable of balancing compliance with strategic business needs while remaining flexible to work as per evolving company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal services across business functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, lease deeds/licensing arrangements, MoUs, NDAs, and other commercial documents/Agreements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes, coordinate with external counsel, oversee case strategies, and provide legal opinions.
- Maintain proficiency in compliance management under corporate law, commercial law, SEBI/RBI regulations, labour laws, e-commerce law, IPRs, IT Act, DPDP Act, and industry-specific frameworks.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Support risk management initiatives by identifying exposures and advising on mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and external stakeholders to protect and advance company interests.
- Conduct legal research using digital tools and databases;
- Monitor and communicate regulatory changes proactively.
- Provide strategic legal advisory to management and cross-functional teams (like Customer Support (CS), Sales, User Experience (UX), Human Resources (HR), Administration, Database, IT, etc.,)
- Demonstrate flexibility to work in alignment with evolving company requirements and priorities.
- Documentation, litigation sheet management, and case study development that strengthen the companys future.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of civil, criminal, corporate, contract, labour law, e-commerce law and regulatory law including IPRs, IT Act, DPDP Act, payment regulations &industry-specific regulations.
- Technically sound in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and adaptable across diverse operating systems.
Soft Skills:
- Proficiency in English & Hindi (verbal & written) and any vernacular languages are preferred.
