Job summary

HealthKart in Gurugram, India is seeking an in-house legal counsel to manage trademarks, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters for a fast-growing consumer health platform.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, handle IP prosecutions, monitor compliance, coordinate with external counsel, and support business teams across sales, marketing, procurement and HR. Ideal candidate: LL.B., 3–5 years' experience in FMCG/Healthcare sectors.

Qualifications

• LL.B. required; LL.M. preferred.
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Mandatory experience in trademark prosecution and commercial contract management.

Responsibilities

• Manage trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, assignments, and enforcement.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, service, licensing, NDA, and partnership contracts.
• Handle litigation notices, regulatory matters, and compliance coordination.
• Provide legal support to business, marketing, procurement and HR teams.
• Conduct legal research and identify risk mitigation measures.

Responsible for managing trademarks, commercial contracts, legal notices, litigation matters, and providing legal support to business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Trademark Management

• Manage trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, assignments, and enforcement.
• Conduct trademark searches and provide legal opinions.
• Coordinate with external attorneys and monitor infringement matters.

Contract Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor, service, licensing, marketing, NDA, consultancy, technology, and partnership contracts.
• Advise stakeholders on legal and contractual risks.

Litigation & Compliance

• Handle legal notices, consumer complaints, and dispute matters.
• Coordinate with external counsels on litigation and regulatory proceedings.
• Support compliance, audits, investigations, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide legal support to business, marketing, procurement, and HR teams.
• Conduct legal research and identify risk mitigation measures.

Qualifications & Experience

• LL.B. from a recognized university (LL.M. preferred).
• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Mandatory experience in trademark prosecution and commercial contract management.
• Experience in FMCG, D2C, E-commerce, Consumer Products, Healthcare, Nutrition, Media, or Technology sectors preferred.
