Job Purpose
The L&D Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring training and development programs for employees across all restaurant outlets. The role focuses on improving employee skills, service standards, product knowledge, leadership capabilities, hygiene, and overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Development
- Identify training needs across restaurants and departments.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly training calendars.
- Conduct induction and orientation programs for new joiners.
- Develop training modules for service, kitchen, housekeeping, stewarding, stores, and management teams.
- Conduct refresher and skill-development training.
2. Restaurant Operations Training
- Train employees on guest service standards and SOPs.
- Conduct training on grooming, communication, etiquette, upselling, and customer handling.
- Coordinate food safety, hygiene, and sanitation training.
- Ensure employees understand company policies, SOPs, and code of conduct.
3. Management Development
- Conduct leadership training for Branch Heads, Restaurant Managers, Assistant Managers, Captains, and Supervisors.
- Develop future leaders through structured career-development programs.
- Support succession planning and internal promotions.
4. Training Effectiveness
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments.
- Measure training effectiveness through employee performance and operational KPIs.
- Obtain feedback from trainees and Branch Heads.
- Maintain training records and employee training history.
5. Training Material
- Prepare SOP-based training manuals, presentations, checklists, and assessments.
- Develop role-wise competency matrices.
- Create training videos and digital learning materials where required.
6. Coordination with Branches
- Regularly visit outlets to identify operational training gaps.
- Work closely with Operations, Corporate Chef, QA, and People & Culture teams.
- Ensure uniform training standards across all outlets.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- minimum 10 years in Learning & Development, preferably in a restaurant chain, hotel, QSR, or hospitality organization.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and hospitality training.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel across multiple outlets.
