Job summary

Data Patterns is seeking an experienced L&D professional to design and deliver soft-skill training programs for a dynamic organization in Chennai. You will partner with HR and department leaders to identify needs and craft engaging content tailored to various levels.

The role requires 8–10 years of corporate experience in designing and delivering training, with strong storytelling, facilitation, and instructional design skills.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Analysis: Partner with HR business partners and department leaders to conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA), identify behavioral gaps, and understand specific team requirements.
• Content Creation: Design and develop comprehensive, interactive learning materials, modules, toolkits, and facilitation guides tailored to various organizational levels.
• Program Delivery: Facilitate engaging, high-impact instructor-led (ILT) and virtual instructor-led (VILT) training sessions covering communication, leadership, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and customer centricity.
• Sustenance & Reinforcement: Design and execute post-training reinforcement strategies (e.g., micro-learning nudges, coaching circles, follow-up check-ins) to ensure long-term behavioral change and knowledge retention.
• Effectiveness Assessment: Implement robust evaluation frameworks (such as the Kirkpatrick model) to measure training impact, track adoption rates, analyze feedback, and report on ROI to leadership.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Education, or a related field (Masters / Certification in Training & Development is a strong plus).
• Experience: 8–10 years of corporate experience designing and delivering soft skill training programs in a fast-paced environment.
• Core Skills: Exceptional public speaking, facilitation, and storytelling abilities; strong instructional design and content creation capabilities.
• Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in evaluating training metrics, analyzing adoption data, and translating feedback into actionable improvements.
• Interpersonal Strengths: High emotional intelligence, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to connect and build rapport with diverse employee groups.
