Job summary

RGBSI in Pune is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You will apply Lean methodologies to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency on the shop floor.

The role requires hands-on experience with Kaizen events, 5S, VSM, and Six Sigma (DMAIC) to deliver measurable gains in OEE and cycle times, while collaborating with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Hands-on experience with Kaizen, 5S and CI projects.
• Strong understanding of Six Sigma tools and DMAIC.
• Experience in process optimization and waste reduction.

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
• Implement and sustain CI projects across the shop floor.
• Conduct Value Stream Mapping to identify bottlenecks and remove non-value-added activities.
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events for process improvements.
• Implement and maintain 5S for workplace organization and efficiency.
• Apply Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) for defect reduction and quality improvement.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and improve OEE, cycle time, and productivity.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve overall efficiency.
• Train and guide shop floor teams on Lean tools and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing Lean methodologies, optimizing processes, and improving overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes
• Implement and sustain continuous improvement (CI) projects across the shop floor
• Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify bottlenecks and eliminate non-value-added activities
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events for process improvements
• Implement and maintain 5S practices to ensure workplace organization and efficiency
• Apply Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) for defect reduction and quality improvement
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as OEE, cycle time, and productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve overall operational efficiency
• Train and guide shop floor teams on Lean tools and best practices

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Preferred Skills:

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
