Job summary

RGBSI in Chennai seeks a skilled Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. The role focuses on implementing Lean methodologies, optimizing processes, and improving overall operational efficiency.

The candidate will lead Lean projects, perform VSM, facilitate Kaizen events, and apply Six Sigma DMAIC to reduce defects and improve quality. Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
• Implement and sustain continuous improvement (CI) projects across the shop floor.
• Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify bottlenecks and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events for process improvements.
• Implement and maintain 5S practices to ensure workplace organization and efficiency.
• Apply Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) for defect reduction and quality improvement.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as OEE, cycle time, and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Train and guide shop floor teams on Lean tools and best practices.
