Job summary

Penspen seeks a Lead Yard Representative - Construction Manager to oversee on-site offshore construction activities in India. You will ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence while coordinating with engineering, procurement, fabrication, QA/QC and marine teams.

The role requires extensive offshore EPC experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage loadout, marine transportation, interface management and progress recovery across multi-disciplinary teams on large offshore

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine).
• Minimum 20 years of Offshore Oil & Gas EPC experience.
• Minimum 15 years in offshore fabrication, construction and installation.
• Minimum 10 years in a supervisory or management position.
• Experience as Company Representative, PMC Representative, Construction Manager, Yard Manager, or Fabrication Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs all day-to-day offshore construction and installation activities on-site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to specifications, schedule and HSE.
• Coordinates daily with construction management, subcontractors, marine captains, and offshore construction vessels to optimize logistics, manpower, and material handling.
• Monitors progress of multidisciplinary teams (structural, piping, electrical, rigging) and reports progress and delays to onshore project management.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine, or equivalent Engineering discipline.

About the Job

Oversees and directs all day-to-day offshore construction and installation activities on-site, ensuring execution is carried out safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with project specifications, drawings, schedule, and HSE requirements. Coordinates daily with construction management, subcontractors, marine captains, and offshore construction vessels to optimize logistics, manpower allocation, and material handling. Monitors progress of multi-disciplinary teams (structural, piping, electrical, rigging), resolves immediate site execution challenges, and ensures the implementation of approved construction procedures, method statements, and lifting plans. Conducts daily toolbox talks and site coordination meetings, reporting progress, resource constraints, and potential delays directly to onshore project management.

Minimum Education Qualification Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine, or equivalent Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of Offshore Oil & Gas EPC experience.
• Minimum 15 years in offshore fabrication, construction, and installation projects.
• Minimum 10 years in a supervisory or management position.
• Previous experience as Company Representative, PMC Representative, Construction Manager, Yard Manager, or Fabrication Manager.

Mandatory Experience

• Offshore jacket and topside fabrication projects.
• Fabrication yard management.
• Loadout and marine transportation activities.
• Offshore installation campaigns.
• Interface management between Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, QA/QC, and Marine teams.
• Progress monitoring and recovery planning.

Preferred Experience

• Saudi Aramco offshore projects.
• Previous experience with L&T, McDermott, Saipem, NMDC, NPCC, Lamprell, or similar major offshore contractors.
• Experience in fabrication of multiple jackets within a single campaign.
