Job summary

Venus HR consultancy Limited in Surat, Gujarat seeks a Senior Manager – Architectural & HVAC to lead engineering, design, project execution and quality coordination for Offshore Living Quarters projects. The role requires senior expertise in mechanical systems and compliance with ABS, DNV, SOLAS & IMO standards.

You will oversee integrated design, HVAC layouts, modular construction and interface with EPC contractors to ensure timely delivery and safe operations offshore.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years of relevant experience.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 15–20 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of offshore HVAC systems and modular construction.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling PDMS & E3D.
• Knowledge of ABS, DNV, SOLAS & IMO standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Architectural & HVAC design for Offshore Living Quarters.
• Manage full lifecycle: Concept to Commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with ABS, DNV, SOLAS & IMO.
• Coordinate with structural, electrical, piping and safety teams.
• Review layouts, HVAC schematics, ducting plans and fire systems.
• Drive quality control and inspection mechanisms.
• Provide technical guidance to EPC contractors and vendors.

WE ARE HIRING | SENIOR MANAGER – ARCHITECTURAL & HVAC | OFFSHORE LIVING QUARTERS

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Architectural & HVAC to lead engineering, design, project execution, inspection and technical coordination activities for Offshore Living Quarters projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ENGINEERING & DESIGN OVERSIGHT

• Lead Architectural & HVAC design for Offshore Living Quarters


• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards such as ABS, DNV, SOLAS & IMO


• Coordinate with Structural, Electrical, Piping and Safety teams for integrated design


• Review and approve layouts, HVAC schematics, ducting plans and fire/smoke control systems


• Oversee architectural finishes, insulation, fireproofing and space optimization

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Manage the complete lifecycle of Architectural & HVAC scope — Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation & Commissioning


• Ensure timely delivery of engineering packages and vendor documentation


• Monitor project milestones and develop recovery plans for delays


• Provide technical guidance to EPC contractors, vendors and subcontractors

TECHNICAL & QUALITY LEADERSHIP

• Ensure HVAC systems meet requirements for thermal comfort, air quality and energy efficiency in offshore environments


• Develop inspection mechanisms for Architectural, HVAC, Plumbing & Modular Cabin activities


• Ensure smooth coordination between MDR QC Personnel, TPI and Client QC Teams


• Identify project-specific requirements including welding sequence, preservation, cleanliness and special processes/control requirements


• Drive continuous improvement in inspection and quality-control processes

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering: 10–15 years of relevant experience


• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: 15–20 years of relevant experience


• Strong knowledge of offshore HVAC systems, modular construction and marine accommodation standards


• Familiarity with 3D modelling tools such as PDMS & E3D


• Knowledge of HVAC simulation software


• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, architectural works and offshore construction


• Knowledge of international standards including ABS, DNV, SOLAS & IMO

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Experience in Offshore / Oil & Gas / EPC / Living Quarters projects


• Strong Architectural & HVAC engineering background


• Experience in QC coordination, TPI and Client QC interface


• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills


• Proven leadership ability with strong technical and execution capabilities
