Job summary

SimCorp is seeking a Lead/Sr. Backend Software Engineer (C#.NET) to help shape the next generation of our technology platform as part of Deutsche Börse Group – Product Development, Platform area.

You will build scalable back-end services, drive architectural evolution, and collaborate across multiple product areas in a global, diverse environment. The role requires strong C# skills, 5+ years of experience, knowledge of SQL/Oracle, DevOps practices, and an agile mindset.

Qualifications

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or a related field.
• More than 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong C# programming and clean code practices.
• Solid data structures, algorithms, testing and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of SQL and Oracle.
• Experience with DevOps tools and parallel programming.
• Agile working experience and continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience in international/global teams.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing.
• Experience with Agentic AI.

• Constantly learn and improve yourself, the team, and our product – for example by experimenting with modern engineering practices such as mob programming, test-driven development, AI-driven development approaches, including prompt engineering, code generation, and AI-supported testing and refactoring.

• Experience in DevOps tools and parallel programming.
• Experience working in an agile way and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Experience working in an international setting with people from many different cultures.
• Positive and constructive approach; you contribute to a productive and supportive work environment.
• Initiative‑driven, organized and improvement‑focused.
• Effective communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Experience with Agentic AI.
