Our people‑centered organization focuses on skills development, relationship building, and client success. We take pride in cultivating an environment where all team members can grow, feel heard, valued, and empowered.

Why This Role Is Important to Us

The Engineering Manager – Data Management is accountable for leading teams responsible for delivering platform changes, upgrades, and continuous improvements across enterprise data management products and customer environments. This role ensures that changes are delivered safely, predictably, and in compliance, while scaling engineering excellence through strong people leadership, governance, and adoption of data‑driven and AI‑enabled practices. The Engineering Manager acts as a bridge between technical execution, change governance, and customer impact, ensuring long‑term platform stability and evolution.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Change, Upgrade & Release Ownership – Own end‑to‑end delivery of data management changes, upgrades, and major releases across environments; ensure all changes follow approved change management, validation, and rollback frameworks; account for release readiness, production stability, and post‑release outcomes.
  • Data Platform & Engineering Oversight – Provide technical leadership across data ingestion, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and storage layers; ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency during upgrades and migrations; guide architectural decisions to balance scalability, performance, and operational stability.
  • Risk, Compliance & Governance – Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and data risks associated with change and upgrades; ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and regulatory expectations, including segregation of environments; maintain strong documentation, traceability, and audit readiness.
  • People Leadership & Talent Development – Lead and develop engineering, QA, and release/change professionals; drive performance management, career growth, mentoring, and succession planning; foster a culture of accountability, quality, continuous improvement, and psychological safety.
  • Stakeholder & Customer Alignment – Partner with product, operations, compliance, and customer‑facing teams to align priorities; communicate change scope, risks, timelines, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders; support escalations with data‑driven analysis, corrective actions, and preventive improvements.
  • Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement – Continuously improve change, release, and validation processes to reduce defects and recovery time; promote standardization, automation, and repeatability in upgrade execution; track delivery and operational metrics to improve predictability and quality.
Required Experience & Capabilities
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams in complex, data‑centric environments.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, releases, and change governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical depth, people leadership, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience applying automation and AI‑assisted practices in engineering or operations is a strong advantage.
What We Value
  • 14–15 years of overall software engineering experience with significant time in .NET/C# ecosystems.
  • 5+ years leading engineers (direct people leadership), owning delivery and engineering standards.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in large, distributed, international organizations and across levels.
Technical Experience
  • .NET / C# Core Expertise – Strong fundamentals and deep experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, including WPF, WCF, WWF; deep understanding of async programming, concurrency, and performance considerations.
  • Modern Services & Cloud‑native – Strong experience with Web API, .NET Core, and modern architecture patterns such as microservices; Docker/container‑based applications; Azure DevOps Pipelines; hands‑on experience designing and operating Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including quality gates and release orchestration.
  • Code Reviews & Engineering Standards – Demonstrated ability to drive high‑quality, efficient code reviews, enforce standards, and mentor engineers.
  • Code Optimization / Performance Engineering – Proven track record in profiling and code optimization strategies.
  • Multi‑threaded / Performance‑intensive Systems – Experience building and operating multi‑threaded, performance‑intensive applications; strong understanding of concurrency patterns and pitfalls.
  • Source Control & Continuous Build – Strong experience with Git/TFS, branching, PR workflows, and continuous builds integrated into CI/CD.
AI Elements (Required Mindset + Practical Application)
  • Lead responsible adoption of AI‑assisted practices in day‑to‑day engineering.
  • AI‑assisted Engineering Productivity – Establish team practices for AI‑assisted coding (e.g., suggestions, refactoring support, unit‑test generation assistance) with clear review accountability and secure usage patterns; build “definition of done” expectations for AI‑assisted output (tests, security checks, performance impact review, documentation).
  • AI for Quality, Risk & Reliability – Use AI‑assisted approaches to improve test prioritization and regression optimization, anomaly detection in logs/telemetry, root‑cause analysis acceleration during incidents, knowledge search across engineering artifacts (runbooks, RCA history, design notes).
Domain Experience (Strong Plus)
  • Experience in Capital Markets is a plus, preferably with buy‑side firms (asset managers, pension funds, investment managers), and understanding of data workflows typical in investment operations and analytics.
Benefits
  • Global hybrid work policy – two days a week in the office; remote work the other days.
