SimCorp is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Data Management Service – Change Management to steer technical direction for the customer layer of the SaaS product. You will lead a group of developers, define standards, and coordinate across multiple stacks with enterprise architecture in mind.
You will drive design decisions, ensure scalable solutions, and champion modern development practices, including TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and cloud readiness, in a dynamic DMS Change team.

The DMS Change team is part of the SimCorp Managed Business Services Team. The team works directly with Data Management Service Business Operations using Data Management Platform, which is a single instance, software as a service (SaaS) based product. It provides Reference Data Management and Valuation solutions for many of the world's leading and most innovative financial institutions, including regional and global banks and asset management firms.
The Lead Software Engineer in the DMS Change Team owns the technical direction for the customer layer of the product, drives design and architecture decisions, and leads a group of developers responsible for building, testing, and ensuring compatibility with the broader enterprise and solutions architecture through modern development technologies.
The Lead Software Engineer will also define and drive new capabilities that support Data Management Service Business Operations, set technical standards across the team, and engage with multiple development teams sitting in different service stacks to align delivery and design.
The expectations of a lead software test engineer's behavioural skills are centred around an agile mindset of leading and working in teams. Business knowledge requirements vary across business units but are overall within the financial sector. In SimCorp, we use several coding languages and technical domains, so the concrete skills here also vary across the organization. Must have 10+ years of experience using .NET technologies with an emphasis on C#, Microsoft .NET Framework including WPF, WWF, and WCF. Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a team of developers, including code/design reviews and technical decision-making. Experience with multi-threaded / performance intensive applications. Deep understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and development. Strong Analysis, Design, and Development skills with the ability to set technical direction for others. Familiarity with source control systems (Git/TFS) and continuous build/CI practices. Strong experience in RDBMS (Oracle/MSSQL). Strong communication skills, including the ability to represent the team in cross-functional and stakeholder discussions. Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex, ambiguous technical issues. Solid knowledge of Web API, .NET Core, Microservices, Docker, or container-based applications. Experience with cloud-based applications. Experience driving Agile methodologies within a team. Working knowledge of TDD/BDD, with experience championing adoption across a team. Experience in the Capital Markets domain is a plus — preferably with buy-side firms. Good to have AI Certifications Capital Markets domain knowledge, preferably with BUY SIDE firms and experience. Experience working with Reference Data Management setup and understanding of various asset classes (Equity, Derivatives, and Fixed Income, etc.) and Market data feeds (Reuters, Bloomberg, MarkIT, etc.). Prior formal people-management or team-lead experience.
