Job summary

KSE Electricals in India seeks an experienced procurement leader to drive supplier development and cost optimization for manufacturing operations. The role focuses on aligning purchasing with production goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

The candidate will plan and source raw materials such as MS, SS, CRCA, copper, aluminium, and sheet metal components, while building alternate/local supplier options to reduce risk. Strong SAP-MM experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 9 to 14 years of procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of commercial terms and supplier contracts.
• Experience with SAP MM module.
• Ability to develop alternate/local suppliers to reduce risk.
• Knowledge of procurement records and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with production and business needs.
• Plan and purchase raw materials (MS, SS, CRCA, Copper, Aluminium, Sheet metal Components).
• Review purchase requisitions and coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and other departments.
• Monitor supplier deliveries and ensure materials are received within required timelines.
• Lead and mentor the purchase/procurement team.
• Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documentation, quotations, and purchase orders.

Role & responsibilities

• The role involves vendor development, cost negotiation, purchase planning, supplier performance management, inventory coordination, and ensuring procurement is aligned with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with production and business requirements.
• Plan and purchase raw materials like (MS, SS, CRCA, Copper, Aluminium, Sheet metal Components).
• Review purchase requisitions and coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, and other departments
• Monitor supplier deliveries and ensure materials are received within required timelines
• Develop alternate/local suppliers to reduce dependency and supply-chain risks
• Analyze purchase costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement.
• Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documentation, quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders
• Support new product development by identifying suitable suppliers and obtaining samples, quotations, and technical/commercial information.
• Lead and mentor the purchase/procurement team entirely.

Preferred candidate profile

• 9 to 14 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of commercial terms, purchase documentation, and supplier contracts.
• A postgraduate qualification such as MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations is an advantage.
• Well versed in SAP - MM
• Experience in direct and indirect procurement within a manufacturing/industrial environment will be preferred.
