Job description

NOC Operations Leadership

• Oversee daily NOC operations across monitoring, incident handling, and escalations.
• Ensure shift readiness, proper handovers, and SLA adherence.
• Lead P1/P2 incidents until L3/domain teams take full ownership.

Technical Escalation Advanced Troubleshooting

• Act as senior technical escalation point for L1/L2 engineers.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting in routing, switching, firewall, VPN, SD-WAN, and WAN circuits.
• Support RCA preparation and validate permanent fixes.

Process Governance Continuous Improvement

• Improve SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting playbooks.
• Identify automation opportunities and mentor team in using scripting frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).

Team Leadership Mentoring

• Train and mentor L1/L2 NOC staff.
• Conduct performance feedback, skill assessments, and technical coaching.
• Support resource planning and shift optimization.

Stakeholder Management Reporting

• Liaise with internal teams, network/security leads, and global operations.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for escalated circuit issues.
• Publish incident, SLA, and performance reports to management.

Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of routing/switching (BGP, OSPF, STP, VRRP/HSRP)
• Strong firewall background: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point
• WAN/SD-WAN troubleshooting (Cisco, Viptela, Fortinet)
• Load balancers (F5/Citrix ADC), VPNs, IPS/IDS analysis
• Proficiency with monitoring tools and NetFlow/SNMP diagnostics
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM tools
